Steamboat Wesley Cookie Policy

Effective Date: September 11, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Steamboat Wesley uses cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies.

0. We do not track you

Steamboat Wesley does not track you across other apps or websites. We do not use advertising identifiers, tracking pixels, or data brokers to build a profile of you, and we do not share your activity with third parties for cross-app or cross-site advertising or tracking. The only storage we use is essential, first-party storage needed to keep the app running, plus optional first-party performance and reliability measurements that never leave our own systems.

In our native mobile app, we do not show a cookie consent prompt because no tracking or cross-site advertising cookies are used. On the public website, where some jurisdictions require a cookie notice, we show a simple, dismissible statement confirming we do not track you.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Local storage and session storage are browser-based storage tools that help websites and apps remember information. Similar technologies may include device permissions, push notification subscriptions, and embedded third-party service storage.

2. How we use them

Steamboat Wesley may use cookies and storage technologies to:

  • Keep users signed in and maintain secure sessions.
  • Remember account and app preferences, including theme and display choices.
  • Support navigation, tabs, page state, draft actions, and app performance.
  • Remember cookie/banner choices.
  • Support push notifications, if enabled.
  • Improve security and prevent abuse.
  • Debug errors and improve reliability.
  • Support third-party features such as maps, GIF search, payment/commerce tools, and embedded or linked content where used.

3. Categories we use

Essential technologies

These are needed for login, authentication, security, routing, account access, app state, and core functionality. The app may not work correctly without them.

Preference technologies

These remember choices such as theme, interface settings, dismissed prompts, selected tabs, and other user preferences.

Performance and diagnostics technologies

These help us understand app errors, loading behavior, feature usage, and reliability so we can improve the app.

Functional third-party technologies

Some app features rely on third-party tools, such as maps, GIF search, file hosting, push notifications, payment/commerce tools, or embedded content. These providers may use their own cookies or storage according to their policies.

Advertising and tracking cookies

Steamboat Wesley does not use advertising cookies, advertising identifiers, or tracking cookies of any kind. We do not engage in behavioral advertising, cross-app tracking, cross-site tracking, or data-broker sharing. If this ever changes, this Cookie Policy will be updated and any required consent choices will be provided before any such technology is used.

4. Examples of storage used in the app

The app may use browser storage for things like:

  • Authentication/session handling.
  • Theme preferences.
  • Temporary page or navigation state.
  • Notification prompt state.
  • Recently selected or temporary workflow data.
  • Cookie notice acknowledgement (a single "Got it" dismissal, not a consent choice).

Exact names and storage duration may change as the app evolves.

5. Managing cookies and storage

You can manage cookies and local storage through your browser settings. You can also clear site data for Steamboat Wesley from your browser. Blocking or clearing storage may sign you out, reset preferences, disable saved settings, or prevent some features from working.

Push notifications can usually be managed through your browser or device notification settings.

Location permissions can be managed through your browser or device permissions.

6. Third-party services

Third-party providers may set or use their own cookies or storage when their services are loaded. These may include infrastructure, maps, media, GIF search, payment, analytics, notification, or embedded content providers. Their use of cookies and storage is governed by their own policies.

7. Updates to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as the app changes. The latest version will be posted in the app with a new effective date.
